Science Talk 2: Mangroves of the Jawbone

Charlotte Williamson is a marine scientist and educator. She is coordinator of Nature West, and long time employee of the Werribee River Association and the Queenscliff Marine Discovery Centre.

Charlotte will lead a tour from the Jawbone Arboretum, west of the beach, where we will meander back along the foreshore towards the mangroves. We will learn about this unique stand of mangroves and why it is so important.

Where: The Jawbone Arboretum, adjacent to Crofton Reserve Playground, Williamstown

Registration: Register now for this free event. Members only. Limited to 15 people due to the sensitive nature of the environment.

We will be walking on slippery and uneven basalt rocks. Wear sturdy shoes, and ensure you are confident and fit to walk in this challenging environment .
